CONTAINS:
  • Soy, Sesame
  • Ingredients

    Marinade
    Wesson Corn Oil 3 tbsp.
    Asian Pear, quartered 1 .
    Garlic Cloves 3 .
    Soy Sauce 1/2 cup.
    Brown Sugar 1/3 cup.
    Ginger, fresh, peeled 2 tbsp.
    Pears, divided 3 .
    Red Onion, sliced 1/2" thick 1 .
    Garnish
    Green Onions, sliced 2 tbsp.
    Sesame Seeds 1 tsp.

    Method

    Marinade

Combine all marinade ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Strain marinade in a small sieve to remove any large pieces. Place short ribs in a large freezer bag or casserole dish and pour over marinade. Let marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight.

    Pears

Heat 2 tbsp of Wesson Corn Oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add sliced pears and onions and sauté for 5 minutes or until lightly golden. Adding 1 tbsp brown sugar and 1 tbsp water, sauté until the pears are caramelized and the water is evaporated. The pears should have a nice golden color to them.

    Ribs

Remove the ribs from marinade and pat dry to remove excess marinade. Grill or pan fry over high heat for 2-4 minutes per side, or until edges are browned and slightly crispy.

    Assembly Method
In a separate skillet, sauté sesame seeds until lightly toasted and aromatic. Thinly slice green onions and set aside. Tip: some flare ups will happen on the BBQ, keep a squeeze bottle of water on hand to quench the flames. A little charring is okay! Serve with rice and garnish with green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
