Method
Waffle Batter
Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
In a large bowl, whisk together whole wheat flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
In a separate bowl or large measuring cup, whisk together yogurt, egg, milk, Wesson Vegetable Oil, and lime zest until smooth.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should remain slightly lumpy. If batter is too thick, thin with 1–2 tablespoons of milk.
Assembly Method
Lightly oil the waffle iron and add batter according to manufacturer’s guidelines. Cook for about 4 minutes, or until waffles are crisp and golden brown.
