    Pears
    Wesson Vegetable Oil 2 tbsp.
    Bartlett pears, peeled, cored, sliced 8 .
    Dried Juniper Berries, crushed 1 tsp.
    Lemon Zest 2 tsp.
    Lemon Juice 2 tbsp.
    Vanilla Extract 2 tsp.
    Crumble
    Large Flake Oats 1 1/2 cups.
    All-Purpose Flour 1/2 cup.
    Wesson Vegetable Oil 1/4 cup.
    Maple Syrup 1/3 cup.
    Pecans, coarsely chopped 1 cup.

    Method

    Pears

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    In a large skillet, heat 2 tbsp Wesson Vegetable Oil over medium and sauté pear slices and brown sugar for 8 minutes or until pears are starting to soften. Stir in lemon zest, lemon juice and vanilla and sauté two minutes more. Remove from heat and pour into a greased 13″ x 9″ cake pan or cast iron skillet.

    Crumble

    In a large bowl, combine oats, flour and remaining Wesson Vegetable Oil, mix to coat. Add maple syrup and pecans. Mix to combine.

    Assembly Method
    Sprinkle topping evenly over pears and bake for 30 minutes or until pears are soft and bubbly and crumble is golden crisp.
    Remix
    To crush juniper berries, place in a zippered plastic bag and roll with rolling pin and then chop fine, or use a mortar and pestle if you have one.
